Richmond Police detectives have
arrested a man in connection with a double homicide that occurred last week.
Detectives identified Rashard
S. Cutler, 21, of the 600 block of Woodhaven Drive, as a suspect and Second
Precinct officers spotted him and arrested him late Monday night. He has
been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the double
homicides that occurred Oct. 19.
At approximately 2:27 a.m. on
Sunday, Oct. 19, officers received a call for a person shot in the 400
block of Westover Hills Boulevard. They arrived on scene within minutes and
found three people who had been shot.
Elijah D. Gee, 24, of the
4800 block of Red Oak Lane, and Antonio M. Sherman, 18, of the 300 block
of Payne Street in Lynchburg, died at the scene. A 19-year-old female was taken
to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but is now in stable condition.
Detectives believe the shootings
stemmed from an argument at a party, and are following up on several leads.
