Man Wanted in Midlothian Turnpike Shooting

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate the suspect in the attached photo, who is wanted in connection with a shooting that took place earlier this month on Midlothian Turnpike.

Corey E. Young, 26, of Richmond, is wanted on charges of malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
At approximately 7:41 p.m. p.m. on July 20, officers were called to the 4000 block of Midlothian Turnpike for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, they located an adult male inside an apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Young is described as a black male, 6’ tall, weighing about 153 pounds, with a dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He has “Cory” tattooed on his right arm.
He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who sees him is asked to call police immediately.
