The Richmond Police Department has identified a man found
dead this afternoon at the City Motel on the city’s south side.
Around 12:10 p.m., officers were alerted to a person down at
the City Motel, located at 3015 Jefferson Davis Highway. Within minutes, they
found the body of Michael E. McCray, 38, of Columbia Street, inside a
motel room.
At this time, McCray’s death is being investigated as a
homicide. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
