The
Richmond Police Department is investigating an incident in which two persons
were shot, one fatally, in the 200 block of Green Cove Drive last night.
At
approximately 10:40 p.m., officers were called to Green Cove Drive for the
report of a female shot in the leg. Officers responded and located the female
with a gunshot wound to the leg, but also found a female nearby in a vehicle
who was unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at
the scene. The other victim was transported to a local hospital with an injury
that was not considered life threatening.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
