The Richmond Police Department has
identified the victim of yesterday’s homicide as Joie M. Wyche, 26, of the
1700 block of N. 29th Street.
At
approximately 4:51 p.m., an officer in the area heard multiple gunshots coming
from the 1800 block of N. 30th Street. The officer arrived and located Wyche
suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a
local hospital and a short time later succumbed to his injuries and was
pronounced dead. The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
