Victim Identified in Clarkson Road Homicide

The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in last night’s homicide on Clarkson Road as Bryant S. Jordan, 24, of the 5900 block of Sugarbush Drive.

At approximately 10:21 p.m., police were called to the 1400 block of Clarkson Road for the report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found Jordan suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were told a suspect was seen running toward a residence along the 1400 block of Clarkson Road shortly after.  SWAT responded to clear the residence, but the suspect was not located.

“We would like to thank the Southwood residents for their patience while police conducted their investigation,” said Capt. James Laino, “The incident impacted the community for over six hours and we appreciate the cooperation.”

A medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
