The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in this morning’s homicide in the city’s south side as Antoine L. Smith Jr., 24, of the 3200 block of Broad Rock Boulevard.
At approximately 5:01 a.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Stockton Street for the report of a person shot. When police arrived, they located Smith Jr. suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers also located an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
