BACKGROUND:    Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers is unveiling a new mobile app and website, P3 Tips, which is now available and enables the public to share crime or safety-related tips and information. All tips are anonymous and the identities of those who submit tips are protected at all times. In many cases, submissions may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.

Remember: We don't need to know who you are to know who they are!

P3 stands for Public, Police and Private Sector – the three key elements of the Crime Stoppers network. This free app can be downloaded for Apple and Android devices using the search title of “P3 Tips.” This new app provides flexibility for submitters who now have the option of providing a new tip, updating an existing tip or simply calling the hotline with the touch of a screen.  It will allow for more dialogue between Crime Stoppers staff and tipsters, and offers the ability to upload video, photos, screen shots and audio files.

There are three ways to submit crime and safety tips:

1.
Download the P3 Tips app to your Apple or Android device which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play.

2.
     By phone at (804) 780-1000

3.
Visit the P3 Tips website at https://www.p3tips.com/tipform.aspx?ID=517
