Suspect Sought in Hillside Court Homicide

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted for the murder of Javon I. Patron, 23, of the 2500 block of Alexander Avenue that occurred last month in Hillside Court. The department is now classifying the shooting as a homicide.

Tyvon M. Williams, 26, is described as a black male, who is 6-foot-4-inches tall, and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Williams is wanted on charges of first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Williams is considered armed and dangerous. Detectives urge citizens to call 911 if they see him.

At around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, officers received a call for a shooting in the 1600 block of Rosecrest Avenue. When police arrived, they located Patron in the rear of a dwelling suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
