Suspect Sought in Shockoe Slip Commercial Breaking and Entering

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect in the attached photos wanted in connection to a commercial breaking and entering in the city’s Shockoe Slip neighborhood.

At approximately 3:03 a.m., on Sunday, Feb. 11, police were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of Virginia Street for an alarm. When officers arrived, they witnessed a suspect inside the building. The officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. He then fled and could not be located.

Surveillance video shows the suspect entering the business at around 10:30 p.m., the suspect leaves and then reenters the building several hours later, wearing a white T-shirt and smashing a glass door. He reportedly stole several items.

The suspect is described as a bald black male with a medium complexion and a thick moustache. He was first seen wearing a grey and black jacket, dark pants, and a black hat. When the suspect reenters, he is seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants.
