The Richmond Police Department is investigating a shooting death in the East End that occurred early this morning.
At
approximately 2:49 a.m., officers were called to the 2100 block of Deforrest
Street for the report of a person shot.
Officers
arrived and found an adult male down and unresponsive in the roadway. He had
suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The
Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
