The
Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in this afternoon’s
homicide as Jerome Williams, 52, of the 2000 block of Lakeview Avenue.
At
approximately 12:26 p.m. officers responded to the 1200 block of Lakeview
Avenue for the report of a person shot. When police arrived they located Jerome
Williams approximately a block away suffering from a life threatening
gunshot wound.
Williams
was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The
Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
