The Richmond Police Department has made an arrest in a shooting on Midlothian Turnpike that occurred last month.
Sayvon A. Knight was arrested September 15, 2020 by
members of the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force and First Precinct
Focus Mission Team (FMT). He is charged with possession of a firearm by a
felon in relation to the shooting. Additional charges are pending. His
booking photo is attached.
Around 3:30
a.m. on August 29, 2020, officers responded to the 4000 block of
Midlothian Turnpike for a report of a person shot. Once on scene, they
found an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local
hospital with life-threatening injuries.
