The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in Monday’s homicide on East Richmond Road as Surita M. Abdul-Majid, a male in his 30s.
At approximately 2:52 p.m., on Monday, September 21, officers responded to the 3500 block of East Richmond Road for a report of gunfire. Once on scene, they found Surita M. Abdul-Majid inside a residence suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
