At approximately 8:08 a.m., officers were called to the 1600 block of Rosecrest Avenue for the report of a person down. Officers arrived and found an adult male in a residence down and unresponsive from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
Richmond Police detectives are investigating. At this time there is nothing to indicate this incident is related to the shooting that occurred nearby on Monday.
