Early this morning at approximately 2:24 a.m., Richmond Police officers were called to the 2200 block of Afton Avenue for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found a juvenile female inside a structure, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
