At 10:42 p.m., April 7, Richmond Police Officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress in the 1500 block of Clarkson Road when a collision occurred involving a RPD unit and a Buick sedan.
An adult female from the Buick was ejected and an adult male suffered life threatening injuries from the crash. Both were transported to a local hospital, the male is in critical condition and the female was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The two RPD officers suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.
The collision is under investigation by the RPD Special Operations Division Crash Team. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact Detective W. Kress by calling 804-646-0280.
