Man Wanted in Southwood Parkway Shooting

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate the man in the attached photo, who is wanted in connection with a shooting that took place earlier this month in the Southwood neighborhood.

Hugo J. Palma Iraheta, 22, of Richmond, is wanted on charges of attempted murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Shortly before 1 a.m. on September 18, officers responded to the 4600 block of Southwood Parkway for a report of a person shot. They arrived to find an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound lying on a sidewalk. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Palma Iraheta is described as a 22-year-old, white male, 5’6” tall, weighing approximately 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He may be driving a 2001 Honda minivan.

He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who sees him should call police immediately.
