St. Paul Street Homicide Victim Identified

Richmond Police Department detectives have identified the victim of a homicide that occurred last night in Gilpin Court.

Shortly after 1 a.m. this morning, a 4th Precinct officer heard gunfire in the 1000 block of St. Paul Street. He then found the victim on the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim, Anthony D. Mack, 41, of the 3200 block of Enslow Avenue, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death. Police are still investigating.
“We urge residents who may have seen or heard something suspicious to come forward with any information they may have,” said Major Crimes Lt. Donald Davenport. “If you see something, say something. Information from the community will lead us to the individual who committed this crime.”
