The Richmond Police Department is continuing to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred Monday evening on the Interstate-95 corridor at the Chamberlayne Avenue on-ramp.
The RPD officer
involved in that incident has been identified as Officer Michael Nyantakyi.
Officer Nyantakyi,
a black male, is a ten-year veteran of the Richmond Police Department. He
remains on administrative leave while the investigation is continuing.
