BACKGROUND:
Chief Alfred Durham
will brief the media on the status of the investigation into the
officer-involved shooting that occurred on Monday, May 14 in the city in which Marcus-David
Peters died. Chief Durham will provide a status report on the progress the RPD’s
Force Investigation Team (FIT) and make an appeal for additional
information that would help detectives during the fact-finding stage of their
inquiry.
