The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in last night’s homicide on West Cary Street as Jerson S. White, 37, of the 2100 block of West Cary Street.
At approximately
10:17 p.m. yesterday, officers were called to the 2000 block of Parkwood Avenue
for the report of random gunfire. When officers arrived, they were told that a
shooting occurred in the rear alley between Parkwood and West Cary Streets.
Officers located Jerson S. White behind the 2100 block of West Cary
Street. White was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to
his injuries.
The Medical
Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
