Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the individual in the
attached photo, who is suspected of trying to cash a fraudulent check.
On
November 21, the male suspect arrived at First Bank, located at 5601
Patterson Avenue, and attempted to deposit a check in the amount of more
than $28,000. The suspect provided paperwork to open a new business
account, but differing addresses on the documents made a bank worker
suspicious. The check was then put on hold.
After
further investigation, detectives believe the suspect somehow intercepted the
original check through the mail and tried to open a local business in order to
obtain the funds. Detectives also believe he may have used a fake
ID.
The
suspect was last seen wearing a light blue shirt with a black leather jacket
and a black leather hat.
