The Richmond Police Department’s Special
Operations Division-Traffic Crash Team is investigating a fatal crash
that occurred yesterday evening in the City’s Southside.
On Friday evening, December 20, 2019, at
approximately 10:19 p.m., a Silver SUV traveling east in the 5600 block of
Hull Street struck a male bicyclist who was crossing Hull Street from the
south side of the street to the north side at the intersection of Chesterfield
Drive. The driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene, last seen heading
east on Hull Street.
The bicyclist succumbed to his injuries at
the scene.
