Victim Identified and Arrest Made in Hull Street Road Hit & Run Fatality

The Richmond Police Department’s Special Operations Division-Traffic Crash Team has identified the victim and made an arrest in the fatal bicycle-vehicle crash that occurred Friday evening in the City’s Southside.

The bicyclist who was struck and killed in the 5500 block of Hull Street Road has been identified as Henry Clay Jefferson, 52, of the 5500 block of Chesterfield Drive, in South Richmond.

Responding officers found Jefferson in the roadway where he was pronounced dead at the scene. The striking vehicle had fled.

The RPD Traffic Crash Team located the vehicle and has identified the driver as Sharico Tashae Booker, 28, of the 2200 block of Joplin Avenue, in the City of Richmond.

Booker has been charged with Felony Hit & Run resulting in Death, and No Operator’s License.
