Arrest Made for Attempted Capital Murder
At approximately 8:32 p.m. last night, Richmond Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle carrying three individuals in the 2200 block of Chateau Drive. The driver fled the vehicle on foot and seconds later fired one round at the officers. One officer returned fire. No injuries were sustained by the officers or suspect.
Officers arrested the driver, Bryan J. Taylor, 22, of the 4300 block of Folsom Road and charged him with attempted capital murder.
The two passengers were also arrested. Jeremy L. Venable, 22, of the 1600 block of Boston Avenue was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Donte L. Green, 23, of the 1200 block of Richeson Avenue was charged with a probation violation.
Two firearms were recovered at the scene.
