The Richmond Police Department is conducting a death
investigation as a result of an incident that occurred yesterday in the Timber
Creek Apartment complex.
Sunday at approximately 10:02 a.m., officers were called to
the 2200 block of Chateau Drive for the report of a shooting.
Officers arrived and found a male, Eugene Edmond, Jr.,
34, of the 5200 block of Pinecrest Avenue, Chesterfield, in a parking lot
suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he
succumbed to his injuries.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of
death.
