Suspect Sought in Robbery on West Main Street

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect in the attached photo who robbed a woman this week.

At approximately 5:38 p.m. on Sunday, the male pictured in the photo approached a female in the 1300 block of West Main Street. He stated he had a gun and demanded her purse. He stole the purse and fled on a black bicycle with “Trek” lettered on it. There were no injuries. No gun was displayed.

Detectives believe this suspect was in a nearby 7-Eleven store a few minutes earlier, behaving in a suspicious manner. The attached image and the video were captured on the store’s camera.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’9”- 6’0 tall and weighing approximately 175 pounds. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt with a purple and white-striped hoodie and a ball cap. He has a mustache and beard.
