The Richmond Police Department is investigating a homicide
that occurred yesterday morning.
Sunday at approximately 2:18 a.m., officers were called to
the 3800 block of Midlothian Turnpike for the report of a shooting.
Officers arrived and found a male, Quincey C. Broadnax,
36, of the 1000 block of Kingswood Street, in a rear yard of an apartment
complex suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital
where on Sunday he succumbed to his injuries.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of
death.
