The Richmond
Police Department has identified the person who was shot to death yesterday on
the city’s south side as Clarence Martin, 54, of the 2000 block of Albany
Avenue.
At approximately
12:03 p.m., Thursday, August 22, RPD officers were called to a house in the
2000 block of Albany Avenue for a report of a person shot. When they arrived,
they located Martin inside his residence with a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced
at the scene at 12:08 p.m.
Although it is
early in the investigation, RPD detectives have talked to all involved parties
and do not believe there is an on-going threat to the community.
