Pedestrian Struck in Shockoe Slip Crash

The Richmond Police Department’s Special Operations Division-Traffic Crash Team is investigating a crash that occurred last Monday night at the Turning Basin in the city’s Shockoe Slip.

At approximately 8:45 p.m. on August 5, a male pedestrian crossing S. 14th Street, from the east side of the street to the west side in the crosswalk, was struck by a vehicle heading south on S. 14th Street. The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash.
