The Richmond Police
Department has identified the victim in this morning’s
death investigation in Hillside Court as Javon
I. Patron, 23, of the 2500 block of Alexander Avenue.
At around 1 a.m. on
Saturday, Jan. 6, officers received a call for a shooting in the 1600
block of Rosecrest Avenue. When police arrived, they located Patron who
had been shot in the rear of a dwelling. He was pronounced dead at the
scene. The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
Within the same
block, a second victim, an adult male, was found suffering from a non-life threatening
gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for
his injuries.
