The Richmond Police Department has made an arrest in connection to an incident that shut down the Lee Bridge for hours yesterday.
Alexis Cosimo,
33, of the 1100 block
of Eggleston Street, has been charged with Disorderly Conduct,
Brandishing a Firearm, and Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place.

At
approximately 2:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, officers responded to the 600 block of S Belvidere Street
for the report of random gunfire and the report of a suspicious vehicle parked
at the north end of the Lee Bridge. Once on scene, they found Cosimo
armed with a handgun. The SWAT team then responded and began negotiations
with her.
At
approximately 8:00 a.m., the
situation was resolved. There were no injuries.
