The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim of yesterday’s homicide on North Avenue as Omar T. Green, 33, of the 2900 block of Woodcliff Avenue
At approximately
10:57 p.m. yesterday, officers responded to the 2300 block of North Avenue
for the report of a person shot. When police arrived on scene, they located Omar
T. Green down in a parking lot suffering from a life threatening gunshot
wound. Green was taken to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his
injuries.
A male suspect was
reportedly seen running from the scene wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and
dark pants.
The Medical
Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
