Arrests Made in Commercial Burglary on Walmsley Boulevard

Richmond Police Second Precinct officers have made two arrests in connection to a commercial burglary that occurred last week.

At approximately 4:48 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, a Richmond Police sergeant was conducting surveillance on the Dollar General store located in the 3900 block of Walmsley Boulevard.  He saw two individuals approach the business, break the glass, and enter the building. 

Additional officers responded and arrested Jamiyl A. Al-Malik, 49, of 4300 block of Chamberlayne Avenue, and Tyrone W. Bolden, 43, of the 3400 block of Walmsley Boulevard.  They both have been charged with burglary and grand larceny.  Their booking photos are attached.

Al-Malik is a suspect in numerous commercial burglaries in Richmond’s Southside, including a burglary that occurred at the same Dollar General store on May 19.  He has also been charged in connection to one commercial burglary in Chesterfield County.
