Richmond Police detectives are investigating a homicide that
occurred this morning on the city’s north side.
At approximately 7:12 a.m., RPD officers were called to an
apartment complex in the 3000 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for a report of a
man down. They found Nathaniel A. Bullock, 26, of the 3000 block of
Chamberlayne Avenue, lying in the parking lot. He had been shot in
the head. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced
dead at 7:41 a.m.
RPD detectives have spoken to witnesses who say they
heard a loud argument followed by several gunshots. They don’t believe
there is any direct connection between this morning’s homicide and the double
homicide that occurred two days earlier, a block away, in the 2900 block of
Chamberlayne Avenue.
They ask anyone with information to call Major Crimes
Detective Jeffrey Crewell, (804) 646-5324 or contact Crime Stoppers at
780-1000 or at www.7801000.com.
Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word
“ITip” followed by your tip. All the Crime Stoppers methods are
anonymous.
