The Richmond Police Department has identified the two
victims in Sunday’s fatal collision as Felipe Estebar, 28, of the 1700 block
of Clarkson Road and Albino Velazquez-Perez, 30, of the 1500 block of
Clarkson Road.
At approximately 5:13 p.m., Estebar was operating a
Honda Civic westbound on Clarkson Road through the intersection with Warwick
Road when it was struck by a Ford Expedition that was traveling northbound on
Warwick Road.
Velazquez-Perez was pronounced dead at the scene. Estebar
was transported to a local hospital where he died.
The two occupants of the Expedition were transported to a
local hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.
Warwick Road has the right-of-way at that intersection. The
Richmond Police Department Crash Team is still investigating and is in
consultation with the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
