Suspect Sought in Cash Register Larceny

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect in the attached photos who took money from a cash register last week.

At approximately 10:57 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, the man in the photos stood in the checkout line at the Martin’s Food Market, located at 3522 West Cary Street. When the customer in front of him paid and the employee opened the register, the suspect reached into the open drawer and took cash. He was seen leaving the area on foot towards Ellwood Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male, 40-50 years of age, 5’8” tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He is bald with a grey goatee.
