BACKGROUND: Chief Alfred Durham and representatives from the Richmond Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and the YWCA of Richmond will speak on 2016 homicides, specifically those resulting from domestic violence.
Information about these cases and their ties to domestic violence will be shared. Officials will also discuss a new, proactive approach officers responding to domestic violence calls will pursue going forward in an effort to connect victims with resources.
The media and the general public are encouraged to attend.
