Victim of Richmond-Henrico Turnpike Shooting Dies

The victim of a late-January shooting in the Brookland Park neighborhood has died, and the incident is now being investigated as a homicide.

At approximately 10:12 p.m. on January 27, officers responded to a call for random gunfire in the 3100 block of Richmond-Henrico Turnpike. When they arrived, officers quickly located Ericelle C. Coleman, 27, of the 3000 block of Moss Side Avenue, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital late Monday night.

Major Crimes detectives are working all available leads in this case and continue to gather additional information as part of the ongoing investigation.
