Appeal for Tips in Foxwood Apartments Shooting Investigation

Richmond Police detectives are asking for help from the public as they investigate a shooting last month that severely wounded a resident of the Foxwood Apartments on the city’s south side.

Information that results in an arrest could earn the tipster a Crime Stoppers reward.

At approximately 5:49 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, RPD officers were called to the apartment complex in the 5000 block of Snead Road for a report of a shooting. They located an 18 year old male who had been shot. The victim remains hospitalized.

As a result of their investigation, RPD detectives believe this was not a random shooting. They say if they receive the right tip, they could make a quick arrest in this case.

They ask anyone willing to identify the shooter to call Major Crimes Detective Jay Brissette at (804) 646-3867 or contact Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or at Tips about persons in possession of illegally-held guns by can be submitting by texting Crime Stoppers at 274637, then using the keyword “GUN250” followed by the tip. Rewards will be paid up to $250. All the Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
