The Richmond Police Department has arrested a Chesterfield man in connection to the death of Amiya Moses.
Detectives arrested Davarn M. Hancock, 22, of the 4800
block of Burnt Oak Drive, Chesterfield, and charged him with homicide. His
photo is attached. Hancock was served with the homicide warrant on March 13
while in custody for a separate offense.
At approximately 9:28 p.m., December 19, 2015, officers were
called to the 4900 block of Old Brook Road for a report of a person shot. Upon
arrival, they located Amiya Moses, 12, of the 1400 block of Treehaven Drive,
at the rear of the building suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was
transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
