Richmond Police detectives are investigating a homicide
that occurred last night in the east end of the city.
At approximately 10:53 p.m., Thursday, March 24, RPD officers were called to the 1800 block of North 29th Street for a report of a shooting. Inside a residence near the intersection of North 29th and Y Streets they found a woman who had been shot.
She was transported to a local hospital where she was
pronounced dead at 11:42 p.m.
Her identity will be released once next of kin have been
notified.
