Suspect Sought in Exxon Robbery

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect who robbed a gas station shop this morning.

At approximately 1:50 a.m., the suspect entered the Exxon convenience store, located at 1701 E. Broad St., grabbed a can of beer and approached the counter. He presented a plastic bag, threatened the employee and demanded the employee give him the cash from the register. The suspect did not display a weapon. There were no injuries.

He was seen leaving the area on foot towards the intersection of East Broad and North 18th streets.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30-40 years of age and approximately 6’3” tall. He wore a black t-shirt, blue jeans, black sneakers and a grey cap.
