Three Arrested for North 25th Street Shooting

The Richmond Police Department has arrested three suspects for the shooting of a juvenile male on Monday.

At approximately 5:15 p.m., Monday, March 28, officers were called to the 2200 block of North 25th Street for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.

The shooting occurred near the Fairfield community Easter Egg Hunt event.

Department officers and detectives, with assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Regional Fugitive Task Force, today arrested Keon C. Anderson, 18, of the 1100 block of St. Paul Street, Corey L. Cosby, 19, of the 2100 block of Selden Street, and Todd W. Jones, Jr., 18, of the 2000 block of Creighton Road. They have each been charged with attempted murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Their booking photos will be released when they are available.

“The arrest of these three individuals is the result of the public and the Department working together to share information with the goal of ridding our neighborhoods of individuals who are intentionally using firearms to inflict harm on others,” Chief Alfred Durham said.
