RPD Invites Public Comment for CALEA Re-accreditation

WHAT:                        Public Comment Opportunity during CALEA Visit

WHEN:                        5:00 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2016
WHERE:                      RPD Training Academy, 1202 W. Graham Road
BACKGROUND:          As part of Richmond Police Department’s international accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc., (CALEA), a meeting will be held to gather comments from the general public. The media and members of the community are encouraged to attend.
                                    The CALEA assessors will examine all aspects of the RPD’s policy and procedures, management, operations and support services. They encourage input from agency employees and community members at the public meeting.
                                    Individuals who are unable to attend the meeting may call (804) 646-3933 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15 to speak to an assessor or provide written comments to the CALEA Regional Program Manager, 13757 Heathcote Blvd., Suite 320, Gainesville, VA 20155 or email John Gregory at jgregory@calea.org.
