The Richmond Police Department Asks for Help with Two Homicide Investigations

Richmond Police detectives are asking for help as they investigate two homicides that occurred yesterday in the east end of the city.

The identities of the victims have been confirmed and their next of kin notified. The victims are:

  • Eric A. Banks, 35, of No Permanent Address. Banks was shot shortly before 5:30 p.m. yesterday, outside a residence in the 1900 block of Raven Street.
  • Kemberly A. M. Williams, 49, of the 1800 block of North 29th Street was shot shortly before 11:00 p.m., yesterday, inside another residence in the 1800 block of North 29th Street. The shot was fired from outside the residence.

RPD detectives returned to both locations today to hand out fliers and speak to residents about the fatal shootings. They do not believe the homicides are linked.
