The man suspected of burning a flag that was attached to a home in the 1600 block of Floyd Avenue yesterday has surrendered to the Richmond Police Department.

Rosas, 26, of the 1100 block of Catherine Street, surrendered at RPD Headquarters at
approximately 10:30 p.m. last night. He was charged with arson. His photo is
attached.The man suspected of burning a flag that was attached to a home in the 1600 block of Floyd Avenue yesterday has surrendered to the Richmond Police Department.
Yesterday at approximately 2: 15 a.m., a security camera recorded Rosas as he approached the home and set fire to an American flag, which was attached to a porch. The flag and the home were damaged.
The video and still photos of the incident were shared on social media and by the Richmond Police Department. Detectives wish to thank the public for the many calls sent to Crime Stoppers, (804) 780-1000, which provided information of the identity of the suspect. Rosas surrendered without incident.
