The Richmond Police Department’s Crash Team investigators
have identified the person killed in a vehicle-pedestrian collision yesterday
in the city’s Northside as David Coley, 48, of the 2000 block of 2nd
Avenue.
At approximately 4:57 p.m. yesterday evening as a pedestrian
attempted to cross the 1400 block of Chamberlayne Avenue, he was struck by a
2006 Suzuki motorcycle traveling northbound toward Oak Street. The pedestrian,
identified as Coley, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to
his injuries.
Crash Team investigators responded to the scene, where they
interviewed the driver and witnesses and took measurements. No charges are
