The Richmond Police
Department is currently investigating a domestic-related homicide which
occurred in Southside this afternoon.
Around 2:41 p.m.
this afternoon, police were called to the 2200 block of Chalfont Drive
for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they located an adult
female suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. She was transported to
a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
